Overview

The Vaud School of Construction for Entrepreneurs in Tolochenaz is the center of competence for construction trades, which, in collaboration with professional partners, offers its services to industry professionals. As part of the development of its activities in the field of certifications, we are looking for a Dean of Higher Education 100%.

• Ensure the excellence of education and the promotion of trades
• Manage the portfolio of higher education programs
• Ensure the pedagogical quality of the offerings: in accordance with regulations, examination rules, quality reference frameworks, and market needs
• Develop innovative educational offerings in line with emerging needs in the industry
• Ensure the success of participants and partners
• Promote programs to the target audience
• Maintain and develop ties and anchorage within professional sectors
• Be the primary contact for professionals, federations, and training organizations at the cantonal level and with partners on continuous education programs
• Represent the school in industry instances and committees
• Negotiate and monitor agreements and contracts and maintain a solid professional network at the cantonal level, serving the school's reputation and credibility
• Coordinate performance and efficient management
• Manage the team of instructors and ensure support that fosters skill development and growth
• Structure and optimize processes and logistics related to higher education
• Ensure budgetary management of the service: financial monitoring, search for efficiency
• Produce necessary performance reports for management
• Actively participate in transversal projects of the school: sustainability, quality

• Degree in education or Federal Diploma of a professional specialist (or a complementary qualification in leadership, management, or team management)
• A degree in the construction field would be an asset
• A sense of public service and skills in analysis and vision
• Proficiency in French and a good knowledge of another language (German preferred)
• Proficiency with digital management tools

• 40-hour work week for a 100% position
• Possibility to work from home 1 day a week
