Mathematics Teacher

Swiss Semester GmbH is seeking candidates to teach a variety of math classes to highly motivated high school sophomores.

Swiss Semester is a unique three month experiential program that provides students a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to challenge themselves academically, physically, and socially in the magnificent alpine setting of Zermatt, Switzerland. Make a difference in a person's life!

Swiss Semester provides teachers with room and board, stipend, and a salary (Sfr. 16, depending on experience and education).

• Teach Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, and/or Calculus classes (4 classes)
• Synchronize curriculum with home school (1-7 students per class)
• Curriculum for each student will be provided by the home school in the United States
• Dorm parent/duties
• Advisor/mentor to students
• Trip leader or participant depending on experience
• Remote liaison with advisee parents
• Ensure/enforce adherence to program's rules and standards

• English writing and speaking skills:
  Native or C2 level
• Subject matter knowledge
• Experience teaching (traditional and/or non-traditional)
• Familiarity with IB maths curriculum and US curriculum is helpful

• Self-motivated
• Engaging classroom personality
• Team player and community builder
• Interest in the outdoor
• Upbeat personality
• Flexibility
