Terms of Employment: Temporary based upon the individual needs of the student with no rights to recall.

Responsibilities

Provides individual instruction as stated in lesson plans developed by the teacher.

Daily tasks depend upon the individual needs of the student. This may include, but is not limited to the following activities:

Supervising the student at all times.
Monitoring the student when moving from class to class.
Monitoring the student's behavior management plan.
Reading to the student, listening to the student read aloud.
Providing frequent feedback to the student as he/she completes daily assignments.
Restating and/or adapting oral directions presented by the teacher.
Assisting the student in group and/or classroom activities.
Offering positive reinforcement to increase the student's self-esteem and independence.
Maintaining professional dress and conversation.
Lunch/break will be determined by the teacher.

Assists the teacher with classroom activities which will enhance the educational performance of the individual student.

Has direct contact with the student and may work with the student individually, or in small or large groups, only at the direction of a teacher, supervisor, or administrator.
