Substitute para educators work in Kindergarten – Grade 12 classrooms in a variety of settings, including Special Education, Lunchroom Supervisor, Office Assistant, and Library Media Technician/In School-Suspension, on an on-call basis. Work is based on employee absenteeism and there are no guaranteed hours or benefits. The para educator tutors students, monitors and models behavior, and performs clerical duties such as typing and copying materials.

Interviews are held on an on-going basis throughout the school year.
