Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has Bilingual Substitute Teacher openings for our ELL, Dual Language and Bilingual Classrooms. The goal of this position is to effectively assume teaching responsibilities in a classroom during a teacher's absence, ensuring that learning continues even though the classroom teacher is not present.

The ideal candidate will:

• Effectively implement the lesson plans that have been left by the teacher
• Integrate the lesson plans into positive learning experiences so as to best use the available time for instruction
• Maintain established standards of classroom management and student behavior needed to achieve a functional, respectful, and productive learning atmosphere
• Maintain professional competence in one's abilities to provide quality instruction
• Perform essential job functions while ensuring the health and safety of others
• Cooperate with other teaching professionals in the classroom and throughout the school building
• Report to the teacher through written communication the activities completed in the classroom during the teacher's absence
• Report to the school office when arriving to substitute
• Complete various duties as assigned by the teacher or building administration

Requirements include:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or Substitute License
• Bachelor's Degree
• Maintains positive attitude, demonstrates flexibility and displays excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, walking, and lifting equipment or materials
