Job Title:
Title I Teacher - Nonpublic School Services
The Title I Teacher - Nonpublic School Services is employed by the school district and assigned to work in participating local nonpublic schools to provide supplemental instructional services to eligible students in accordance with Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education aCt (ESEA). This position focuses on improving academic achievement for identified students while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

- Employed in March with contract effective July 1

- Spend the necessary time required to fulfill the duties of the position
- Services provided on‑site at participating nonpublic schools
- Instruction delivered in designated neutral spaces approved by the district
- Collaborate with nonpublic school staff to identify students in need of services
- Provide supplemental Title I instruction to eligible nonpublic school students in reading
- Deliver instruction in individual or small‑group settings outside of the regular classroom program
- Use district‑approved curricula, instructional strategies, and assessment tools
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning levels
- Ensure all Title I services are secular, neutral, and non‑ideological
- Maintain clear separation between Title I services and the nonpublic school's regular instructional program
- Follow all Title I, Part A regulations and district policies
- Participate in consultation processes with nonpublic school officials as required
- Organize and conduct parent/family nights (4 per building)
- Assess student progress using district‑approved measures
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including lesson plans, progress monitoring data, and service logs
- Contribute to required Title I reports and audits
- Communicate student progress to district supervisors, nonpublic school supervisors, and when appropriate, to parents
- Collaborate with district Title I coordinators, administrators, and support staff
- Communicate professionally with nonpublic school administrators and teachers while maintaining district authority and oversight
- Participate in district meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by the building administrator and/or Federal Programs Director
