Alpadia Language Schools offers all-year round schools in Montreux, Berlin, Freiburg and Lyon, teaching French and German. Alpadia also provides English, French and German summer courses for juniors and teens in Europe and North America. Initially established in 1996, and now larger than ever, our mission is to encourage language development through immersion and expand the horizons of our students.
Job DescriptionOur Activity Leaders are responsible for delivering fun and engaging activities and excursions to a group of international students, following Alpadia’s innovative approach to language immersion and experiential learning. As the resident Tennis Trainer you will work closely with other Activity Leaders and Teachers, ensuring students experience meaningful adventures full of learning and personal growth. You will also be responsible for day‑to‑day operations of the camp, including attendance checks, assisting during wake‑ups and bedtime, and leading camp‑wide evening programs.
Essential Criteria- Experience coaching tennis in a professional capacity
- Experience working with children or young people in a professional capacity
- Some German proficiency (spoken B1‑B2 minimum) and ability to learn activity‑specific vocabulary for language immersion
- Fluency in English
- High physical, mental and emotional resilience
- Experience in meaningful, professional teamwork
- High energy level, excitement and comfort speaking in front of large groups
- Availability for 5 weeks of the summer (June 27 – August
2)
- Fluency in German and English
- Experience in outdoor education or summer camps
- Driver’s License and ability to drive a minivan
- Weekly summer salary of 500‑700 CHF, depending on experience
- Two days of pre‑summer staff training on language immersion, child development, outdoor facilitation and conflict resolution techniques
- Full room and board throughout the summer
- Travel reimbursement up to 160 EUR
- Recommendation bonuses for other staff members you refer
