Short-Call Substitute Teachers

Winona Area Public Schools continuously accepts online applications for prospective substitute teachers to sub for our district. Applications will be reviewed as needed.

$20.00 per hour

Substitute Teachers perform the instructional and classroom management processes for teachers who are absent for a day or longer periods of time. Their duties include taking attendance, following sub plans, explaining homework, and maintaining classroom cleanliness.

Candidates applying for this vacancy should hold a current teaching license or a Short-Call Substitute license issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). Applicants who have a bachelor’s degree, but not in education, can apply for a Short-Call Substitute license through the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.
