High School Teacher – English, Math, French.

Oxford Learning Fletcher’s Meadow in Brampton is seeking a part‑time French teacher/tutor/coach. The role is in‑person and focuses on small‑group instruction (max three students per teacher) during after‑school, evenings, and some Saturday sessions (4:00‑8:00 pm weekdays, 11:00‑3:00 pm Saturdays). The candidate will receive all curriculum and lesson material – lesson planning is not required. The teacher explains and guides students through the provided material, asking questions to help them articulate their understanding.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification is an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Grades 9–12 French core curriculum

Experience:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 9–12 (or equivalent) level
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students concurrently

• Teach up to three students at a time at different levels
• Deliver instruction in French only within the classroom setting
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times

• Mon‑Fri evenings (4:00‑8:00 pm)
• Some Saturdays (11:00‑3:00 pm)
• Commitment until the end of the school year (continuation through summer preferred)

Pay: $18–$19 per hour

Oxford Learning Fletcher’s Meadow, Unit 09, 17 Worthington Ave, Brampton, ON. Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Brampton area. This is a live teaching position; no online or relocation packages are available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
