Learning Support Assistants (Student Shadows)Responsibilities Speculative applications – primary – secondary – hourly role
- Provide support to students with additional learning needs within the classroom.
- Motivate students to achieve beyond their potential.
- Encourage students to communicate effectively.
- Help children understand instructions.
- Assist children who need extra support to complete various tasks.
- Supervise group activities.
- Communicate with teachers, the SEN department and parents about student progress.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is an asset.
- Relevant degree.
- Excellent communication skills, discretion, and a team player attitude.
- Empathetic, calm, positive, motivational, creative, and flexible.
- Availability throughout the day and week during school hours.
- Local residency.
- Clear criminal record.
