Description:

The Moffat County District is looking for a motivated, caring, and enthusiastic person to fill a blended position that will be .5 FTE Gifted and Talented Education Teacher and .5 that includes other duties to be assigned based on qualification and need of the district. SALARY:
Placement on the Certified salary schedule is commensurate with education and teaching experience. Base Salary starting at $51,000. Education and/or

Experience:

Minimum requirement – Bachelor's degree(B.A.) from an accredited four year college or university. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Eligible or already in possession of a Colorado Teaching License/certificate endorsed in Gifted and Talented. Qualification Requirements:

Position Overview:

The Gifted and Talented Education Teacher will collaborate closely with the District's Gifted Education Coordinator to design, implement, and oversee the Comprehensive Program Plan for the district. This position will support and enhance the district's Gifted and Talented program, ensuring the development and delivery of appropriate academic programming for students from Preschool through 12th graders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Gifted Education Coordinator to develop and implement the district's Comprehensive Program Plan for Gifted and Talented Education.
• Provide ongoing support for the district's Gifted and Talented program, ensuring alignment with academic goals and the needs of gifted students.
• Design and deliver academic programming for students from Preschool through 12th grade.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports, records, and forms for Gifted and Talented programs.
• Promote and ensure the implementation of appropriate programming to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted students.
• Establish procedures and work in partnership with school principals to effectively implement the Gifted and Talented processes district-wide.
• Develop and maintain complete, cumulative individual records for all students enrolled in the Gifted and Talented program.
• Identify gifted students in grades P-12.
• Administer district-wide annual screening for giftedness at key grade levels.
• Collaborate with staff to develop Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) for all identified gifted students in grades P-12.
• Attend regional and state-level professional development opportunities to stay current with trends and best practices in gifted education.
• Facilitate professional development opportunities for district staff on gifted education strategies and best practices

Supervisory Responsibilities:
