Salary Range

Starting at $110,000, negotiable based on experience, prorated for the period of employment per negotiated contract.

Reports To: Assistant Superintendent for Student Services

Qualifications

New Jersey Supervisor's Certificate and one of the following certifications:
- New Jersey School Social Worker or,
- New Jersey School Psychologist, or
- New Jersey Learning Disability Teacher Consultant.
- N.J. Special Education Teacher.
- N.J. School Counselor
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to motivate people.
Knowledge and understanding of the role and responsibilities of child study team members, counselors
Knowledge and understanding of special education programs and services, curriculum development and program evaluation, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management and research related to learning.
Supervision of school counselors at assigned grade levels and/or buildings
Knowledge and understanding of the regulations regarding the operation of special education programs and services as outlined in federal and state statutes and codes.
Demonstrated ability to relate with students, staff administration, parents and the community.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.

Supervision:Child Study Team Members, School Counselors, Special Education Teachers and Assistants
