Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Tasks:

• Drive the conceptual design and development of medical device components and systems – from requirement definition through to prototyping and evaluation
• Create CAD models, technical drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and test specifications
• Take ownership of verification, validation, and the regulatory documentation related to mechanical assemblies
• Support the industrialization process and ensure a smooth transition from development to production
• Assist the procurement team in technical discussions with suppliers

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, Mechatronics or a related field
• At least 5 years of industry experience involving CAD design and drawing generation
• Good knowledge of materials and processes, especially metals and plastics used in mechatronic device applications
• Experience in sub-project management and supplier collaboration
• Experience in mechanical testing, including type approval, functional validation, and prototype evaluation
• Experience with coatings and adhesive bonding is a plus
• English C1, German B2 and French B1
