Location :

As a System Architect, you will be responsible for the architecture and functionality of our RFID IC products, with a strong focus on how they will be used within the broader RFID system. This includes active participation in standards development, trade shows, and customer meetings to stay aligned with global RFID system trends. You will play a key role in shaping how our products integrate into future RFID ecosystems.
This position reports to the Technical Leader of the RFID Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
RFID standard and ecosystem
- Monitor and analyze RFID standards, market trends and competitive technologoies.
- Actively engage with standards development organizations and participate in industry forums.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in RFID system design.
- Establish and maintain product-level requirements and device specifications.
- Collaborate with IC design teams to refine and implement system-level requirements.
- Develop and update a high-level functional model of the IC (e.g., in Python) to bridge system functionality with hardware design.
- Conduct system performance analysis, including timing and power consumption.
- Support product management and sales teams by articulating high-level product features and system-level benefits.
- Collaborate with application engineers to deliver technical training for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company as an RFID subject matter expert at industry events, webinars, and trade shows.
- Autonomous, resourceful, and results-driven with a proactive mindset.
- Hands-on experience with RFID technologies including tags, readers, and protocols such as EPC Gen2 and NFC.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in system engineering, IC design, or product management within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor development cycle.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 10%).
- Deep understanding of the UHF and NFC RFID ecosystems - from tag to reader to software and system - and can effectively translate customer use cases and requirements into system and device specifications to guide implementation.
