As an Instrument Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration of hardware and software components to guarantee optimal instrument functionality. You will support the entire lifecycle of the instrument – from the concept phase, development, and validation, through to market launch and maintenance. Your work forms the foundation for the successful realization of modern diagnostic and analytical instruments, indispensable in a wide range of applications and industries.

• Ensure seamless collaboration between hardware and software components, driving integration activities throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Plan, execute, and document integration activities such as feasibility studies, testing and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
• Develop and verify test methods for instrument testing, maintain and execute complex test cases, and ensure formal testing of instrument functionality.
• Support and execute troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for instrument issues.
• Apply statistical methods and data analysis using software tools to evaluate test results, identify trends and correlations, interpret findings, and generate reports that inform decision‑making.
• Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration, bringing fresh ideas, encouraging innovation, and supporting continuous improvement.

• Apprenticeship as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or a
  
  B.Sc. degree (or higher) in a relevant technical or scientific field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory environment.
• Foundational knowledge of systems engineering and understanding of interactions between mechanical, electronic, and software components in instrument development.
• Proficiency in intermediate to advanced statistical methods and software tools for data analysis, evaluation, and interpretation.
• Fluent English and German language skills.

• Initial professional experience in medical device development.
• Knowledge of Python, JMP, Azure Dev Ops, Retina.
