RoleSenior Director ISC Engineering Equipment – responsible for end-to-end leadership of equipment design, integration, and vertical ramp-up across BD manufacturing sites globally, in alignment with business growth, quality, cost, delivery, and regulatory requirements. Lead a team of professional engineers, provide strategic engineering leadership, and drive global standardization, operational readiness, and performance optimization of automated manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities- Strategy & Leadership:
Define and drive the global technology strategy for equipment engineering; build, lead, and develop high-performing global engineering teams; drive standardisation and modernization across manufacturing sites; act as escalation point for critical production, quality, and supplier issues. - Equipment & Process Design:
Lead equipment and process design aligned with manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements; optimize performance across cost, reliability, uptime, and maintainability; drive design excellence through robust review processes and continuous improvement; enable smart factory and digital (MES) integration into equipment solutions. - Capital Project & Vendor Management:
Lead large-scale capital projects from concept through implementation and ramp-up; own Cap Ex planning, forecasting, and execution discipline; partner with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery commitments; build strong vendor partnerships for long-term operational needs. - Equipment Integration & Vertical Start-Up:
Oversee equipment installation, integration, and production ramp-up; ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations; drive site readiness, including training and capability development; deliver expected performance in efficiency, reliability, and output. - Operational Excellence & Performance:
Ensure manufacturing lines meet quality, regulatory, and performance standards; drive improvements in OEE, uptime, and reliability; support continuous improvement initiatives across sites; enable data-driven decision making through equipment performance tracking.
- 15+ years of engineering leadership experience in global, complex manufacturing environments.
- Strong track record leading global engineering or equipment organizations; background in manufacturing, automation, or equipment engineering.
- Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., Med Tech, Pharma, Automotive).
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop high-performing teams; strong stakeholder management in global, matrix environments.
- Strategic mindset with ability to translate vision into execution; excellent communication and leadership presence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred); MBA or MS in Engineering preferred.
- Ability to travel frequently (Domestic and International) up to 30–50%.
Primary work location: CHE Eysins - Business Park Terre-Bonne;
Additional locations: USA NJ – Franklin Lakes. Travel up to 30–50% as required.
