• Process Design & Optimization:
  Design, implement, and/or optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Oversee and maintain the plant’s production and utility systems (HVAC, purified water systems, compressed air, etc.) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Equipment Maintenance: ensure the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of plant equipment are carried out professionally and economically in respect of applicable health and safety procedures to ensure operational reliability and plant availability.
• Project Coordination: lead and participate in engineering projects, from feasibility study or conceptual design through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget in the area of responsibility.
• Collaboration:
  
  work closely with cross‑functional teams including production, quality assurance, and vendors to ensure alignment on process improvements and compliance.
• Documentation: maintain accurate documentation of engineering processes such as Process & Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) according to change management and in compliance with GMP.
• Training: provide training and support to plant personnel on processes and equipment, fostering plant knowledge and a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
• Compliance: ensure all engineering practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.

• Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a plant engineering or maintenance role, ideally in a GMP‑regulated industry (pharma, biotech, medical devices).
• Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements in manufacturing and maintenance processes.
• Experience with plant infrastructure, utilities, and manufacturing equipment (e.g., HVAC, clean steam, water systems, pumps, etc.).
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and plant automation.
• Strong problem‑solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
• Proficient in English and French;
  German is a plus.
