Responsibilities- Ensuring the required HSE standards and good laboratory practices are applied/respected.
- Overseeing and defining the experimental program to deliver safe and sustainable chemical processes that are fit for the current development lifecycle stage under guidance of the project lead.
- Designing lab experiments and pilot campaigns to generate process understanding and know-how.
- Maintaining documentation to capture lab results and project requirements as defined by guidance.
- Supporting process knowledge transfers in agreement with the project lead.
- Ensuring close collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Supporting the department in specialist roles.
- Preparing inputs for cost estimates.
- Proposing, supporting, and implementing improvement projects.
- Ensuring efficient use of provided resources.
- PhD in organic chemistry or chemical engineering, typically with a Post Doc or equivalent experience.
- Practical experience in organic chemistry.
- Fluent English;
German and French are advantageous. - Good communication skills with the ability to see trends and simplify complex information.
- Track record in working within project timelines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in data science, statistics, modelling, automation, or process analytical techniques and collaboration with experts in these fields.
- Basic knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or R, or willingness to learn.
