• ? Being an integral part of multidisciplinary development projects from initial concepts to series production and across the entire product lifecycle for our cutting-edge observation devices
• ? Translate product requirements and customer needs into comprehensive system specifications by balancing optical, mechanical, electronic and software requirements
• ? Responsible for the system architecture, concepts and cross-functional interfaces and support technical decision-making
• ? Staying up to date in your defined optical expert field and evaluate emerging technologies, and solutions for future applications
• ? Drive technology projects, explore physical boundaries of technologies and increase the maturity of innovative concepts and technologies to product application (TRL6)

• ? Master's degree from ETH, FH or equivalent in physics, optics, photonics, engineering or a related technical field
• ? At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in optical product development and systems engineering
• ? Good knowledge of optical systems and a solid understanding of their interaction with mechanical, electronic and software components
• ? Experience in optical design, knowledge of binoculars, laser range finders or comparable electro-optical systems is highly desirable
• ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex technical interdependencies and drive solutions
• ? Sound knowledge of systems engineering methods (e.g. V-model) and requirements engineering
• ? Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• ? Fluent in English, German is a plus
