Housekeeping Trainee

Job Overview

Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is looking for a Housekeeping Trainee to join our housekeeping team. The role supports the housekeeping department in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a memorable stay for guests. The trainee reports to the Executive Housekeeper.

• Independent organisation of the smooth running of your shift
• Control of cleaned rooms, public areas and back areas
• Comply with all hygiene and Mandarin Oriental quality standards
• Coordinate additional tasks on the floor
• Note guest preferences and handle guest requests and questions in the housekeeping area to create memorable guest experiences
• Handle guest complaints from receipt to resolution
• Take on projects and other administrative tasks

• Open-mindedness and delight in dealing with guests
• A strong sense of service and service-mindedness
• Warm, teamwork and guest-oriented personality
• Good communication skills - guests will approach you with complaints as well as positive feedback. Therefore, you are always open and approachable
• Excellent manners and a well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position includes weekend and holiday shifts
• Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
