Job Summary

B&A is seeking an experienced IA Access Management Analyst to support Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and information assurance initiatives. This role is responsible for administering and safeguarding access to sensitive and classified systems while ensuring compliance with DoD identity, credential, and access management (ICAM) policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in access control, identity authentication, and information assurance practices, helping maintain the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and non‑repudiation of enterprise information systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Identity and Access Management (IAM) functions across classified and sensitive environments.
  • Manage and enforce user access controls in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Serve as an Information Assurance (IA) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for identity authentication and access management processes.
  • Support implementation and administration of DoD ICAM services and security frameworks.
  • Validate and monitor user/entity access to systems, applications, and data resources.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD Instruction 8520.03 and related access management requirements.
  • Assist with account provisioning, deprovisioning, role‑based access controls, and privileged access management.
  • Investigate and resolve access‑related incidents, security violations, and authentication issues.
  • Maintain documentation related to IAM procedures, policies, and audit activities.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to support continuous monitoring and security compliance initiatives.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, military training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hands‑on IT or cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM), Information Assurance (IA), or cybersecurity operations within a DoD or federal environment.
  • Familiarity with DoD ICAM principles, access control methodologies, and authentication technologies.
  • Experience interpreting and applying DoD cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Working knowledge of user account management, directory services, and access provisioning processes.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) concepts.
  • Knowledge of DoD Instruction 8520.03 and identity authentication requirements.
  • Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with access control systems, authentication protocols, and account lifecycle management.
  • Ability to analyze security requirements and enforce compliance standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in team‑oriented environments supporting mission‑critical systems.
Certifications
  • DoD 8570 Baseline Certification – IAT Level II (required) which includes the following:
    CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Cloud+, SSCP, GSEC, or other DoD‑approved equivalents.
