The AI / RPA Engineer is responsible for delivering tangible business value through automation, AI, and advanced analytics across Solvias.
This role focuses on building and deploying real use cases (not theory), improving productivity, reducing cost-to-serve, and enabling smarter decision-making across Operations, Finance, QA, and Commercial.
As part of the Data & AI Office, the AI/RPA Engineer works closely with the Data Administrator Lead to leverage governed data and transform it into automation and AI-driven solutions.
This is a hands‑on builder role, expected to rapidly develop prototypes, scale successful solutions, and deliver measurable outcomes within short cycles.
Success is measured by business impact (efficiency, cost savings, adoption), not models or experimentation.
- Design, build, and deploy AI and RPA use cases aligned with business priorities
- Develop automation solutions for reporting and data processing, Lab workflows and data handling
- Develop automation solutions for Finance and operational processes
- Build AI-driven solutions (GenAI, predictive analytics, insights generation)
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and working products
- Rapidly develop prototypes (MVPs) and scale successful use cases into production
- Integrate AI/RPA solutions with core systems (ERP, LIMS, CRM, Data Platform)
- Collaborate with the Data Administrator Lead to ensure data readiness and quality
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve efficiency through automation
- Ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and scalable within a regulated environment
- Monitor and continuously improve deployed solutions based on business feedback
- Proven experience in AI, automation, or data-driven solution development with real business impact
- Strong hands‑on expertise in Python or similar programming languages
- Strong hands‑on expertise in AI/ML frameworks and GenAI tools
- RPA platforms (Power Automate, UiPath, or similar)
- Experience integrating solutions with enterprise systems (APIs, data pipelines)
- Ability to build end‑to‑end solutions (from idea to production)
- Strong understanding of business processes and automation opportunities
- Experience in regulated environments (GxP, Pharma, ISO) is a plus
- Pragmatic mindset: focus on value delivery, not over engineering
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with business stakeholders
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with high accountability
