Shape the future of diagnostics – join our operations team!

BÜHLMANN Laboratories AG is an internationally active and growing life sciences company headquartered in Schönenbuch, near Basel, Switzerland. With nearly 50 years of excellence in in-vitro diagnostics (IVD), we develop, manufacture, and distribute innovative diagnostic solutions trusted by hospitals and laboratories around the world.

We are looking for a motivated student to support the digitalization of our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Student S&O Process Digitalization (m/w/d) 40%

The primary purpose of this role is to centralize software proficiency within the S&O process and help establish a solid foundation for production planning digitalization. This is a hands‑on, process‑oriented role ideal for a student with a strong interest in supply chain, operations, and data‑driven planning.

Your Role – Strategic. Global. Impactful.
  • Get familiar with the software tools being introduced across the S&O process, covering production planning, data gathering, and demand sensing.
  • Actively embed software knowledge into S&O routines – acting as the go‑to person for tool usage within the process.
  • Support the setup and rollout of digital solutions for production planning and data gathering.
  • Assist in data collection, structuring, and maintenance to enable reliable S&O inputs.
  • Collaborate with the S&O team to identify gaps and opportunities for further digitalization.
  • Document workflows, tool guides, and process steps to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing.
  • Experience in Microsoft Power Platform is a strong plus.
Your Profile – Visionary. Collaborative. Data-driven.
  • Business administration, computer science, or natural science studies (e.g., bioinformatics).
  • IT proficiency:
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform is a strong plus; at minimum, the willingness to independently develop competency in the platform.
  • Basic programming skills required. Fluency in English is required; conversational German is a strong asset (working language in the local team is German/English).
  • Engaged, flexible, independent and reliable. Structured working approach.
  • Curiosity about supply chain and manufacturing logic – not expertise required, but genuine interest. Comfort working with legacy data and systems – ability to improve processes incrementally.
What We Offer
  • Flexible part‑time role (40%) that easily aligns with your studies.
  • Direct exposure to digital transformation processes in a global life sciences company.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern S&O software and tools.
  • Collaborative, supportive, and international team structure.
  • Opportunity to build practical skills in project execution, data management, and process optimization.
