As part of the Cloud & Infrastructure team, you will play a key role in designing, migrating, and operating cloud‑based platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will contribute directly to modernising MF Group’s infrastructure, improving platform reliability, and enabling scalable, secure cloud environments that support critical business systems. Drive the adoption, optimisation, and operation of Azure cloud solutions, with a strong focus on application and database migrations, automation, and high availability of production systems.
Keyresponsibilities
- Support application and database migrations to Microsoft Azure (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Assist with the design, deployment, and operation of containerised workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Contribute to the automation of cloud infrastructure and operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Help monitor and optimise cloud platforms to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support observability and monitoring initiatives to maintain stable and predictable platform operations.
- Contribute to infrastructure standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Up to 3 years of experience, or strong interest, in Cloud Engineering—preferably with Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of Azure services, Kubernetes/AKS, databases.
- Eagerness to learn how to build and operate cloud platforms in production environments.
- Awareness of security, data protection, and compliance concepts (e.g., PII / GDPR) is a plus.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
