SECURITY & NETWORK ENGINEER

Does technology inspire you? Are you passionate about cybersecurity and network protection? Then come and build with us, supporting our strong qualitative and quantitative growth.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in IT security, with a particular focus on Fortinet technologies, and is eager to take ownership of security architecture, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position will report to the Head of Operations within Tinext Cloud and will be based in our HQ in Morbio Inferiore.

In this role, you will be in charge of the following activities:
  • You will take ownership of the design, implementation, and management of network security solutions based on Fortinet technologies
  • You will define, maintain, and continuously improve policies, configuration standards, templates, and SOPs, ensuring alignment with best practices and security requirements for both internal infrastructure and clients.
  • You will manage and optimize Security ecosystem components, including Forti Manager and Forti Analyzer, ensuring proper configuration, centralized management, and log governance.
  • You will oversee security operations such as deep packet inspection, vulnerability mitigation, firmware updates, and the implementation of advanced features (e.g., ZTNA, SOC-as-a-Service).
  • You will contribute to the evolution of security services by testing and introducing new functionalities and solutions, strengthening the overall security posture.
  • You will support and coordinate firewall-related activities during project design and startup phases, relieving the delivery team from daily security operations and allowing them to focus on systems and cloud environments.
  • You will collaborate with internal teams (e.g., TAMs, system engineers) and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to defined standards and supporting large-scale implementations when needed.
  • You will manage and improve SOC interfaces, reporting, and security notifications, as well as produce client-facing security reports.
  • You will contribute to client migrations (e.g., IPsec/mobile VPN transitions) and ensure consistent and secure configurations across environments.
  • You will also collaborate with system specialists on endpoint security solutions such as Forti Client, FortiEDR, and Forti Authenticator.
Your Identikit:
  • At least 5+ years of professional experience in network and security engineering, with a strong focus on firewall management and network security.
  • Solid experience with Fortinet technologies (Forti Gate, Forti Manager, Forti Analyzer), including multi-client environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network fundamentals and security best practices.
  • Experience in defining and managing firewall policies, templates, and security standards.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, particularly in relation to endpoint security solutions.
  • Experience with Forti Web and broader Fortinet ecosystem solutions is considered a strong plus.
  • Certifications such as Fortinet NSE4 (or higher, ideally NSE7 – Enterprise Firewall) are highly desirable.
  • Analytical mindset, precision, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Passion for cybersecurity, continuous improvement, and emerging technologies.
  • A team player with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical domains.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, German would be a plus.
  • You live in Switzerland or close to the Italian-Swiss border, or you are willing to relocate.
What you can expect:
  • Competitive salary package
  • Career path and growth opportunities within the security domain
  • Hybrid working conditions (smart working)
  • International and dynamic environment
  • Continuous learning and certification support
  • 60% employer’s contribution on LPP
  • Transport reimbursement or free car parking
