Technical Presales Consultant; m​/f​/d) Data & AI​/Automation - IBM Software

As a Technical Presales Consultant (m/f/d), you will support our partners and internal sales teams with technical expertise around IBM Data & AI and Automation solutions.

This role is well suited for both experienced presales consultants and motivated technical professionals who want to take the next step into a customer‑facing presales role. You will work closely with senior colleagues and continuously build your expertise across IBM's strategic software portfolio.

• Support partners and sales teams in technical presales engagements
• Contribute to solution designs for data platforms, AI use cases, and automation scenarios
• Assist in technical presentations, product demos, workshops, and proof‑of‑concepts
• Collaborate on proposals and RFP responses from a technical perspective
• Participate in partner enablement and training sessions
• Gradually build deep expertise in IBM technologies through hands‑on experience and certifications

• Technical background in Data, AI, Automation, Integration, or similar domains
• First experience in technical consulting, engineering, or presales is an advantage
• Interest in customer‑facing roles and solution design
• Experience with IBM Software is welcome but not required
• Exposure to Hybrid Cloud, containers or Open Shift is a plus
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
• Fluent in German and English
