Job Description
As an Intern in the Sourcing Team at GE Vernova’s production site in Birr, you will support indirect procurement activities and assist the department throughout the entire Source‑to‑Pay process.
Responsibilities- Support buyers in the Source‑to‑Pay process for indirect purchases (MRO – spare parts, tools and supplies)
- Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs/RFQs) and launch supplier consultations
- Analyze supplier responses and compare offers on cost, deadline and quality
- Maintain sourcing databases and monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ensure contracts and administrative documents comply with GE Vernova internal procedures
- Participate in follow‑up meetings with internal clients to identify operational needs
- Support the resolution of invoice disputes and track orders in the ERP system (e.g., SAP)
- Contribute to the optimization of purchasing processes and implement corrective actions
- Adhere to compliance and security rules specific to the work environment
- Monitor the indirect supplier market and propose innovative alternatives
- Currently enrolled in a higher education program (Business School, Master’s in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management) or possess equivalent knowledge or experience
- Interest in indirect purchasing and industrial operations
- Prior experience or strong interest in sourcing or project management is an asset
- Ability to analyze numerical data and use office software (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal departments and suppliers
- Meticulous attention to detail in administrative follow‑up and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to work in an international environment and communicate effectively in English (written and spoken)
