The Diagnostics Supply Chain Network Orchestration department serves as a vital strategic engine for the organization, focused on driving end-to-end integration, supply chain resilience, and global operational excellence. We are seeking a Head of Network Configuration to step into a high-visibility leadership role reporting directly to the Head of Network Orchestration DSC. This strategic position is responsible for the continuous operation, monitoring, and improvement of our global distribution network, leveraging a state-of-the-art framework that spans affiliates, regions, global hubs, and external partners. Operating with a high degree of strategic scope over the entire flow of goods, you will define the core distribution parameters that safeguard delivery reliability and ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

- Establishing global governance frameworks and standard operating procedures for distribution network parameter configuration ensures fully compliant and optimized operations.
- Steering key parameter decisions regarding transportation modes, replenishment lot sizes, rounding values, safety stocks, and routing paths directly reduces costs, lowers CO2 emissions, and maximizes the shelf-life of the commercial finished goods portfolio.
- Optimizing the end-to-end flow of goods allows the network to react with maximum speed and flexibility to unexpected regulatory shifts or changing customer demands.
- Leveraging advanced analytics enables continuous monitoring of configuration variables to ensure the organization can immediately pivot into a crisis mode when external disruptions occur.
- Managing a robust link with the Master Data Management function establishes a clear control process to securely govern all active distribution parameters within the department.
- Designing complex multi-node supply chain architectures systematically balances service, inventory levels, and overarching cost structures from hub-to-hub, OEM-to-affiliate, and regional pathways.
- Collaborating closely with affiliates and global business functions, including Global Product Planning, Network Management, Hub Operations, Commercial Supply Chain, and Order Execution, drives cross-functional standardization.
- An academic foundation consisting of a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field provides the required technical background.
- A minimum of 7 to 8 years of professional work experience within the supply chain domain or international operations/production functions is essential.
- Deep expertise in configuring complex multi-node supply chain architectures, lead times, safety stocks, and master data structures is necessary to drive automated network performance across the ecosystem.
- Demonstrated capability in leading other leaders across diverse geographic and cultural boundaries is required to cultivate an inclusive, high-performance network and drive complex organizational change.
- Excellent communication, analytical problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are mandatory to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal executive stakeholders.
