BACKGROUND

Richemont Group is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to head its global insurance and risk management department, reporting to the Group Treasurer. This critical role will lead the development and execution of worldwide insurance and risk mitigation strategies to protect the Group's assets, supply chain, and financial resilience. The role is an integral part of the Treasury & Risk Leadership team.

HOW

YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT?

Based in Bellevue and reporting to the Richemont's Group Treasurer, this role will be responsible for the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments, develop and execute global insurance programs, and manage broker/insurer relationships to effectively mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with Group functions to design and implement innovative risk transfer solutions, including insurance/reinsurance captives, and present strategies to senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with key risk owners across the organization, including Finance, Security, Logistics, Legal, and Audit, to establish risk management protocols and champion a culture of risk awareness and compliance.
  • Analyze risk data and optimize the total cost of risk framework to minimize potential impact and recommend adjustments.
  • Develop insurance solutions and contract language to support third-party relationships and ensure appropriate risk transfer.
  • Lead the annual insurance renewal process, strategically reviewing and negotiating policies to ensure optimal coverage and competitive pricing.
  • Ensure efficient and effective resolution of claims administration and management, ensuring fair and consistent settlements.
  • Manage the insurance budget to ensure cost-effective resource allocation and maximize ROI.
  • Develop and deliver risk management training programs to promote knowledge, compliance, and best practices.
  • Inspire, growth, mentor, develop, and motivate a team of three.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US? Education, experience and core competencies
  • University degree in Business Administration or Finance.
  • 15+ years of experience in corporate insurance and risk management.
  • 5+ years of experience in people management
  • Expert knowledge of risk assessment techniques, the insurance marketplace, risk management practices, insurance policies, claim handling procedures, and international insurance programs.
  • Sound understanding of insurance/reinsurance captives’ management with a proven track record in managing captives and/or programs involving captives.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance, including relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to develop, manage, and oversee multiple insurance and risk management activities and initiatives.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
