We are looking for a Supply Chain Clerk for one of our pharma clients based in Visp.
Job SummaryResponsible for proactively maintaining and continuously improving the production schedule. Perform all duties to ensure the departmental schedules are accurate and communicated to all relevant departments to drive short‑term execution of plans. Ensure all schedules are created respecting existing labor and asset capacities and are achievable based on planned material availabilities. Drive timely resolution of all scheduling conflicts with relevant stakeholders.
SchedulerOperations Tasks
- Own the day‑to‑day operational scheduling (8‑week horizon) and resources balancing.
- Coordinate with logistics the delivery of API and raw materials from warehouse to production line according to manufacturing requirement dates.
- Ensure accurate consumption of assigned materials lots by manufacturing to Process Orders.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics the posting of raw materials consumptions on‑time in all systems.
- Re‑order materials from warehouse in case of damage or urgent needs.
- Report hours of labor and machine usage to Process Orders in ERP system.
- Ensure short‑term changes are reflected in the schedule.
- Generate relevant KPI and operational measures to support identification of trends or root cause of sub‑optimal performance.
- Monitor production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures, using this information for Continuous Improvement activities such as maintenance of routings and BOMs, increasing accuracy of production schedule and efficiency reporting.
- Monitor incoming purchase orders to ensure on‑time delivery by supplier.
- Take action if delivery of purchase order is not made on time or in full by supplier.
- Create, prioritise and manage the progress of QC raw materials release to ensure on‑time release to meet production needs.
- Allocate specific material lots to production orders under FEFO principle and ensure customer & quality requirements are also respected for the projects.
- BS in supply chain management
- Ability to influence both Supply Chain and functional leaders to support production optimisation recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven capability in balancing multiple tasks and resolving planning challenges through effective prioritisation and proactive problem‑solving.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, to support reporting and analysis.
- Competent using production scheduling systems and SAP PP & EWM/WM for material planning and inventory management.
- Preferred knowledge of bioscience products, their Bills of Materials (BOMs), operations, routings and material flow requirements.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments and compliance requirements.
- Ability to utilise Business Intelligence systems to extract data and generate reports.
