The Production Team Leader Welding plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality execution of welding operations within the production environment. By leading and developing a team of skilled operators, this role contributes directly to operational excellence, product quality, and on-time delivery, while fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset in line with VAT’s standards.
Responsibilities- Lead, organize, and coordinate daily welding operations to meet production plans, deadlines, and performance targets.
- Supervise and support the welding team, ensuring clear task allocation, performance feedback, and ongoing development.
- Ensure strict adherence to welding procedures, quality standards, and technical specifications.
- Promote and enforce workplace safety regulations,conductingregularchecksandaddressingpotential risks proactively.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production Planning teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
- Fluency in German is mandatory;
English language skills are considered a strong advantage. - Strong leadership and team management skills.
