The aspiring polymechanics at Zermatt Bergbahnen play a key role in the manufacture of tools, components and production equipment from a variety of materials. Their main tasks include the precise implementation of construction drawings, the selection of suitable tools and the careful monitoring of the production process. Through these activities, our apprentices contribute significantly to quality assurance and the smooth functionality of Zermatt Bergbahnen.

• You manufacture tools and spare parts for all areas of ZBAG. This way, our piste vehicles and gondolas run perfectly with your help
• You create technical drawings, 3D models and plans with the CAD programme
• You repair parts of systems (e.g. rollers of the pendulum lifts) and thus ensure safe and smooth railway operation
• You develop production solutions for the manufacture of important spare parts for our systems
• Programming of computer-controlled machines
• Assembly of systems
• You perform various tasks such as drilling, milling, grinding, measuring and checking
