At SOPHiA GENETICS, we are building the future of AI-assisted, data-driven medicine. Our technology helps healthcare professionals make sense of complex data, with the ambition of improving outcomes for patients with cancer and rare diseases.
From major European scientific conferences to our own Innovation Summit, we bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, industry experts and customers to share knowledge and explore what's next in data-driven medicine. And you could help make those experiences happen.
Join our EMEA Marketing team for a six-month internship and get hands‑on experience organizing and delivering some of our most important events across Europe.
You’ll help support our 2027 Innovation Summit, building on an event that brought together more than 150 international Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), as well as three major scientific conferences: ESHG, AMP Europe and EHA.
These events bring together thousands of attendees from across the scientific and healthcare communities, creating opportunities to exchange knowledge, showcase innovation and build meaningful connections.
You’ll get to see how an event goes from an idea on a planning document to a real experience that brings people together, encourages scientific exchange and strengthens relationships across the industry.
Here’s what that could look like:
- Help bring our 2027 Innovation Summit to life. Support the event from early planning through execution, including coordination, logistics, marketing activities and follow‑up.
- Get involved in major and regional European conferences. Contribute to the preparation and delivery of major congresses and regional events, supporting the many moving parts behind successful events.
- Make the details count. Help coordinate event logistics, materials, inventory, timelines and practical arrangements to ensure everything is ready when it needs to be.
- Support event marketing and communication. Contribute to promotional activities, social media content and marketing materials that help us connect with our audiences before, during and after events.
- Work across teams. Collaborate with colleagues from Marketing, Commercial and other functions, helping align priorities and keep everyone informed.
- Keep projects moving. Follow up on tasks, track deadlines, coordinate stakeholders and help solve the unexpected challenges that come with organizing international events.
- See the bigger picture. Discover how field marketing events contribute to customer relationships, brand visibility, scientific exchange and commercial results.
You might be studying Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Event Management or a related field.
You don’t need to have organized an international conference before. We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with people and gets satisfaction from making things happen.
You’ll probably enjoy this internship if:
- You love organizing things. Whether it’s a university event, a group project or something outside your studies, you enjoy planning, coordinating and making sure the details are taken care of.
- You're interested in marketing and events. You want to understand how companies create experiences that engage audiences and support business goals.
- You're comfortable juggling different priorities. You can keep track of multiple tasks, deadlines and stakeholders without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- You're a natural collaborator. You enjoy working with different people and know that successful projects depend on good communication and teamwork.
- You pay attention to details. You understand that sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference to an event’s success.
- You take initiative. When you notice something needs to be done, you’re happy…
