Located in the heart of Switzerland, our Oberentfelden facility is a global center of excellence for High-Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS). As a critical hub within GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business, we specialise in the design, assembly, and rigorous quality testing of advanced GIS systems ranging from 72.5kV up to 175kV.

As a Production Quality Assurance Specialist for our Grid Solutions production site in Oberentfelden, you will ensure that our manufacturing processes and products meet the required quality standards throughout the production lifecycle. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, and improve First Pass Yield (FPY). You will be the primary technical authority on the production floor for High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS, 72.5kV – 175kV), ensuring every unit meets the stringent quality requirements of the grid energy sector.

  • Language:
    Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken, are mandatory requirements for this position. Candidates who do not meet these language requirements will not be considered.
  • Work Authorization:
    Candidates must be eligible to work in Switzerland. For this position, we can consider Swiss, EU/EFTA nationals, or candidates who already hold a valid Swiss work permit allowing them to take up employment in Switzerland. We are unable to sponsor work permits for this position.
Job Description Your Tasks
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable procedures.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and support final product release.
  • Drive investigations of quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze quality KPIs (e.g., FPY, scrap, rework rates) to identify and execute improvement opportunities.
  • Support process qualification to ensure manufacturing processes remain capable and controlled.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain) to resolve quality concerns.
  • Prepare quality documentation, reports, and performance analyses using SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Act as a technical quality interface for internal stakeholders and external customers.
Your Profile
  • Technical apprenticeship combined with a degree as an Engineer or Technician (BSc/FH/HF) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience in Production Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality.
  • Proven methodological expertise in "Root Cause Analysis" (RCA) and quality tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA) to sustainably identify and resolve underlying issues.
  • Solution-oriented approach with a rapid grasp of technical challenges, specifically focused on minimizing production downtime.
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in SAP and Power BI is highly desirable.
  • Experience with in high-voltage equipment, Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), or other switch gear products is an advantage.
  • Fluent in German and good English are required.
