As a Smart Sensors Specialist at the Deep Tech Center, your mission is to explore and develop new sensor technologies for process control, production quality, and breakthrough consumer experiences. Across our hubs in Switzerland and China, we advance manufacturing, consumer experiences and research by leveraging robotics, sensors, AI, machine learning and digital twins. You will make a difference by collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams across research and development, businesses, markets, factories, and external partners.

• Leading the development of innovative sensor solutions that improve process control, product quality, and consumer experience.
• Driving test bench, pilot, and proof‑of‑concept activities that turn scientific ideas into scalable, real‑world applications.
• Building robust data acquisition and connectivity approaches that enable reliable measurement and smarter decision‑making.
• Delivering technical support to projects and stakeholders with solutions that are effective, sustainable, and fit for purpose.
• Advancing digitalization by generating high‑quality datasets and applying sensor expertise to modelling and automation initiatives.
• Sharing knowledge through documentation, publications, and mentoring that strengthen capabilities across teams and projects.

• Bringing strong expertise in sensor development, measurement science, and hands‑on experimental work to create practical, high‑impact solutions.
• Applying knowledge of statistics, variability analysis, and metrology to assess performance, improve reliability, and support robust decision‑making.
• Using programming and data analysis skills with a high level of autonomy to advance connected systems, automation, and digital innovation.
• Collaborating as a strong team player across disciplines, with PhD research or operations experience considered a strong plus.
• Communicating fluently in English.
• Thriving in a highly collaborative, innovation‑driven environment, and being ready to move fast from concept to reality.
