PhD Student in fundamental muon physics

• Take first data on storage, spin precession, and frozen‑spin state of muons
• Participate in data analysis and work on dedicated aspects related to the magnetic field of the storage trap
• Further characterising the magnetic field of the storage trap using dedicated sensors and particle detectors
• Contribute to a better understanding of systematic effects and help to improve experimental sensitivity

• Master’s degree in physics with strong interest in low energy particle physics
• Knowledge of computational numerical methods, i.e. Monte Carlo simulations, Python for data analysis, finite element methods, etc.
• Practical experience in experimental techniques is appreciated (e.g. electronics, detectors, DAQ)
• Ability to work independently
