Position: Laboratory Technician 80-100%
Location: Villigen

Therefore, about one quarter of our staff are post-docs, post-graduates or apprentices. Altogether, PSI employs 2300 people.

For the Advanced Analytics Platform group, we are looking for a

Laboratory Technician 80-100%
  • Perform chemical analyses using ICP-OES and ICP-MS, with occasional support for GC-MS and LC-MS measurements
  • Support the development, validation, and optimization of analytical methods under supervision, primarily for ICP-based analyses
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments
  • Evaluate, document, and report analytical results
  • Provide technical advice and analytical support within multidisciplinary project team
  • Ensure safe, organized, and efficient laboratory operations
  • Assist in training and supporting apprentices, interns, students, and researchers in analytical techniques
Your profile
  • Degree or professional qualification in chemistry with higher professional examination for chemical laboratory technicians, or equivalent expertise
  • Extensive practical experience in ICP-OES and ICP-MS, including sample preparation, method development, troubleshooting, and data interpretation
  • Basic to intermediate experience with GC-MS and LC-MS analytical techniques
  • Good computer skills, particularly in analytical and spectroscopy data processing software
  • Very good command of English, German is desirable
