Job Description:

Bristow Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Child Nutrition Worker.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Instruction and Child Nutrition Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Maintain defined standards of sanitation and safety of personnel, food preparations, kitchen equipment, and cafeteria facilities.
• Gather, maintain, and store food and/or supplies for workstations.
• Complete job tasks and/or other duties in assigned time frame.
• May take and record food temperatures on serving line.
• Follow serving instructions and exhibit knowledge of Child Nutrition Program meal pattern requirements with students.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Duties can include any combinations of the following duties.

• Wash and cut up fruit and vegetables for salads and desserts.
• Assist in preparation of soups, meat, salads, and desserts.
• Responsible for initiating appropriate pre-preparations.
• Clean workstations, serving counters, kitchen floors, dining room tables and floors, as well as food and supply storage areas and restroom.
• Wash and scour pots and pans and other equipment.
• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies according to established procedures with manager supervision.
• Demonstrate the ability to work with fellow employees.
• Perform related work as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
