Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern is an iconic Belle Époque landmark, offering a premier luxury experience. It comprises 136 rooms and suites, three restaurants, one bar together with a variety of meeting facilities, a Spa and a fitness room.

Based at Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, within our two Michelin‑starred restaurant, Colonnade, the Fine Dining Service Trainee plays a key role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience for our guests. The role involves anticipating guests' needs, delivering personalized and attentive service, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the menu and seasonal offerings while upholding the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

• Deliver exceptional and personalized service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience at all times.
• Assist with the preparation, setup, and mise‑en‑place of the restaurant before service.
• Welcome and escort guests, present menus, and provide detailed knowledge of menu items, seasonal specialties, and beverage offerings.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests and preferences.
• Support the team in serving food and beverages according to the highest fine dining and Michelin‑star standards.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of food, wine, and beverage pairings to confidently advise guests.
• Ensure tables are impeccably presented and maintained throughout the dining experience.
• Handle guest inquiries and feedback with professionalism, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Follow all hygiene, health, safety, and food handling standards in accordance with company policies.
• Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth communication and flawless service execution.

• Fluency in English is required;
  German language skills are highly desirable, and additional languages are an advantage.
