We are looking for our first engineering hire to build a product that transforms how construction companies operate. This role involves not only coding but also architectural decision-making, customer interaction, and shaping Scait's technical culture. We work in a forward‑deployed model, staying close to customers to deliver solutions that work in real construction workflows.

CHF 105' per year

• Strong frontend expertise: Build production‑ready UIs in React and Next.js (Type Script).
• Product and UX intuition: Think in user flows, not just components; convey complex data clearly.
• Component architecture: Experience with design systems, composable components, state management (e.g. Tan Stack Query, Zustand, React Hook Form).
• Portfolio: Delivered a product, side project, or open‑source contribution.
• Backend knowledge: Ability to write a Python/FastAPI API endpoint.
• User‑centric problem solving: Engage with users, identify issues, and resolve them proactively.
• Fluent in German and English.

Build the frontend and product, creating complex, data‑rich UIs in Next.js and React for calculators, dashboards, document viewers, and interactive analyses.

Develop and evolve our design system and component library (shadcn/ui, Radix, Tailwind), ensuring consistency, accessibility, and developer experience.

Translate AI pipeline outputs (risk analyses, contract findings, generated documents) into intuitive UI components that inspire trust.

Contribute to backend features in Python/FastAPI as needed; depth is not required, but familiarity is beneficial.

Understand customer workflows, surface edge cases, and deliver practical solutions.

Shape engineering culture: define how we work, review, ship, and set tone as the second person after founders.
