Distribution/ General Warehouse, Stocking
Every part PAVE Space orders, you receive. Every shipment that goes out, you send. The inventory tells the truth because you maintain it.
PAVE Space is building LYOBA, a heavy kick stage moving over 4-ton payloads from LEO to high-energy orbits in under 24 hours. Engine hardware, spacecraft parts, machine tooling, raw stock, consumables, fluid components, electronics; tens of thousands of items a year, landing across two sites. That's the volume. You're the discipline behind it.
So, why now?Engine campaign hardware is starting to arrive, spacecraft parts are being ordered weekly, the Workshop is coming online with all its tooling and stock — and the volume is real. The receiving and inventory function has been informal, handled by whoever's nearest the door. That doesn't scale. You'll take it over and make it run, on a timeline measured in weeks, not quarters.
Whatyou'll own
- Receiving and content verification on every shipment: counting, comparing against the PO, escalating discrepancies to Procurement and Metrology
- Inventory organization across Villeneuve hall, Villeneuve admin, and Chavalon, what's where, how it's labeled, how it's found again
- Stock levels and reorder points for consumables: gases, fluids, machine tooling, fasteners, lab and office supplies
- Outbound shipping to customers, to suppliers for rework, to external test or qualification labs
- Hazardous materials handling at the receiving and storage interface, in coordination with HSE
- Dangerous goods documentation for inbound and outbound shipments (ADR for road, IATA for air)
- Inter-site logistics between Villeneuve and Chavalon: what moves when, who drives, what needs special handling
- The inventory system itself: inventory tool setup, labeling discipline, the routines that keep the database matching the shelves
- 3+ years of logistics or warehouse operations in an industrial, manufacturing, or aerospace environment
- Direct experience with receiving, inventory management, and shipping at real volume
- Comfortable with ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Odoo, Net Suite, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with dangerous goods regulations (ADR for road, IATA for air)
- Operationally precise: you count, label, and follow up without being reminded
- Physical comfort with handling shipments, including heavy or awkward loads
- French and English, both fluently
forklift or pallet jack certification (or willingness to certify); aerospace, defense, or precision-industry receiving experience; experience setting up an inventory system from scratch rather than inheriting one.
You’ll fit right in if- You take pride in an inventory that matches reality: every part, every shelf, every time.
- You'd rather catch a wrong shipment at the door than three weeks later when someone needs it.
- You see your job as making sure no engineer ever has to ask "where is it?" twice.
- You like the rhythm of a busy receiving dock and the discipline of a clean stockroom.
- You're comfortable telling a supplier their shipment is short and standing behind the count.
The job is fully on-site, split between Villeneuve (VD) and Chavalon twenty minutes away. The receiving and inventory function is being built as you take the seat, you'll be defining the system, not inheriting it. This is hard and early. If you want a mature warehouse with an established ERP and a team of receivers, this is the wrong seat. If you want to build the system that keeps the most ambitious space program in Switzerland supplied, it's the right one.
We are building to ship, grounded on real hardware, real funding, real milestones. Apply to contribute, surrounded by people as sharp as you are. And if this isn't you but you know that person, send them our way.
