Become an integral part of the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education as an Instructor for the Plumbing Vocational Program at Memorial High. Drive student success through innovative plumbing education.
The CBVRCE is inviting applications for the Vocational Plumbing Program Teacher role. Ideal candidates will have their RED SEAL Journeyperson certification and at least eight years of training or relevant practice in plumbing or construction fields. This position emphasizes practical skills development, covering various essential plumbing constructs and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver instruction on plumbing workplace safety
• Teach students about effective building codes
• Guide hands-on practice with piping systems
• Facilitate learning in plumbing tools and equipment use
• Mentor students in drainage, waste, and venting
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education
• Certification as a RED SEAL Journeyperson Plumber
• Minimum of eight years experience in plumbing-related fields
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to excel in a vocational teaching environment
