Champion the educational aspirations of Mi'kmaq and Indigenous students as the College and Career Prep Coordinator at NSCC’s Sydney Campus. This position focuses on empowerment, career readiness, and supporting transitions.

In this vital role within the Office of L'nu Student Success, you will provide culturally informed guidance to help students navigate significant educational pathways. Your work will involve delivering workshops, empowering individuals through practical career advice, and maintaining connections with local communities. Focused on inclusion and equity, this position is designed for those who are dedicated to paving the way for future generations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in navigating their career and educational paths

• Enhance student engagement through career fairs and initiatives

• Provide guidance on resumes, interviews, and employability skills

• Connect students with financial and community resources

• Collaborate with industry partners to strengthen opportunities

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline

• Three years of student support or career development experience

• Lived experience within Mi'kmaq/Indigenous communities

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools

• Valid driver’s license for travel duties
