Support educational success as a Casual Teacher Assistant at the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education, where you will provide essential care and assistance to students in various schools. Your focus will be on personal and behavioral support while fostering a positive learning environment.
In the role of Casual Teacher Assistant, you will work collaboratively with teachers to deliver personal care, assist with behavior management, and support classroom activities tailored to students' individual needs. This casual, on-call position runs during school hours from September to June, allowing for flexible engagement with the educational community. Your contribution will be vital in helping students thrive in a dynamic and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care and hygiene support to students
• Encourage positive student interactions and emotional growth
• Help implement behavior management plans
• Assist in educational program delivery as directed
• Supervise students and ensure a safe environment
Requirements:
• Educational Support Diploma or relevant credentials
• Valid Standard First Aid certification
• Acceptable Criminal Record and Child Abuse Checks
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques
