Job Description
Intern reporting to the Mine General Supervisor, the role involves supporting the Underground Mine Department on technical projects and daily operations, collaborating with other departments, and contributing to mine cycle optimization.
Responsibilities- Support the underground mine department on technical projects and assignments.
- Assist implementation of ongoing/new projects and processes.
- Support daily mine operations.
- Act as a helper to underground supervisors and mining crew.
- Participate in various mine cycle optimization projects.
- Perform other tasks related to mine operations and underground projects.
- Enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ontario Underground Common Core or Québec FMTM Mining Modules considered an asset.
- Previous mining experience is advantageous.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment is beneficial.
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport within teams.
- Schedule:
14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest. - On‑site accommodations and meals provided at no cost.
- Charter flights to and from the mine site, with additional travel expenses covered based on residency location in Canada.
- Official working language:
English.
