We are seeking a highly technical Marketing Technologist / Analytics Implementation Specialist for one of our direct client to lead a full-scale migration from One Trust to a new Consent Management Platform (CMP), while maintaining regulatory compliance and data integrity across our analytics and advertising stack.
This role requires deep expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Consent Mode v2, and CMP integrations in complex environments. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical transition, from auditing our current One Trust/GTM setup to configuring Google Consent Mode v2 on the new platform.
Key Objectives- Migrate from One Trust to a modern CMP (e.g., Cookiebot, Cookie Yes, Usercentrics — or recommend best‑fit solution)
- Ensure compliant implementation of Google Consent Mode v2
- Preserve analytics and advertising data continuity (GA4, Google Ads, and other platforms)
- Enforce strict consent‑based firing across all tracking technologies
- Audit:
Map current One Trust "Active Groups" and triggers within Google Tag Manager (GTM). - Migration:
Replace the One Trust library with a modern CMP (e.g., Cookiebot, Cookie Yes, etc). - GTM Architecture:
Transition all tags to use Consent Initialization triggers and the GTM Community Template Gallery. - Google Consent Mode v2:
Configure and validate the four mandatory signals: , , _data, and . - QA & Compliance:
Perform rigorous testing using GTM Preview Mode and Tag Assistant to ensure "Deny" states are strictly honored and data is only captured upon "Accept."
- GTM Expert:
Advanced knowledge of the Data Layer, custom templates, and consent‑based triggering. Advanced expertise in Google Tag Manager (client‑side; server‑side is a plus) - Privacy Specialist:
Deep understanding of the technical requirements for Google Consent Mode v2 and global privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA). - CMP
Experience:
Proven track record of implementing One Trust, Cookiebot, Usercentrics, or similar platforms. - Documentation:
Ability to provide a handover document mapping old One Trust variables to the new system for our internal analytics team.
- Certification in Google Analytics or specialized Data Privacy credentials.
