• Design and refine CNC machining processes to improve efficiency and reduce production costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Analyze existing machining operations and identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices to enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop detailed work instructions and process documentation for CNC machining.
• Conduct root cause analysis for machining-related issues, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime and enhance operational performance.
• Oversee the setup and calibration of CNC machines, ensuring they operate at optimal performance levels.
• Train and mentor production staff on CNC machining techniques, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures.
• Monitor and evaluate machining performance metrics, utilizing data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in CNC technology, integrating new methodologies into existing processes as appropriate.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects, contributing technical expertise to support product development and innovation.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Assist in the selection and procurement of CNC machinery and tools, providing input on technical specifications and requirements.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management, summarizing findings and recommendations related to machining processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machining or a similar engineering role.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software, with hands-on experience in programming CNC machines.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with quality control methodologies and standards relevant to CNC machining.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of automation technologies and their application in CNC machining.
• Previous experience in a custom fabrication environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration with manufacturing processes.
• Certification in CNC programming or machining from a recognized institution.

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solid Works, Mastercam).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and metrics.
• Knowledge of CNC machine operation, setup, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with quality assurance tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA).
• Competence in using measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
