We are looking for a Trap builder to work in our Spartan Industrial Marine branch in Sydney, NS. This is a temporary position to provide coverage during an employee’s absence. The Trap Builder will work with wire and tools to cut, mend and assemble traps as well as provide customer service.

- Assemble traps as per specifications
- Complete inspections on traps before sending to customers
- Preparing packaging and verify all documents before sending completed orders to shipping
- Follows Quality Control Procedures, as per ISO 9001:2000
- Organizes, cleans, and ensures overall maintenance of the workspace
- Performs general labour and/or maintenance work
- Maintains an efficient production speed with minimal quality issues
- Complies with all safety regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in Trap Building an asset
- Able to make basic math calculations
- Repetitive motion of hand and wrists including gripping, twisting, pulling, and pushing
- Able to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
