We have a fantastic opportunity for an associate DVM at Animal Medical Centre in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Famous for its Celtic heritage, the area offers visitors music, food and the charm of the people, as well as the Fortress of Louisbourg, Bras d’Or Lake, the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in the village of Baddeck, six amazing golf courses and the world-renowned Cabot Trail – a drive known for its dramatic coastal views and highland scenery.
Located in Sydney River, AMC is a fully outfitted companion animal hospital housed within a newly renovated heritage building. It is one of only a few pet boutique animal clinics in Canada and boasts a qualified staff of veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants and client care representatives known for providing outstanding service. The hospital features a dental x‑ray unit, an in‑house laboratory and full computer assistance.
WhatYou’ll Need To Succeed
- Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Nova Scotia
- Passion for what you do every day
- Keen interest for surgery
- Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude are a must
- A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients
- Excellent communication skills, both when dealing with clients and team members
