Biostatistics Research Fellow

Position: Biostatistics Research Fellow at UNSW
Join The Kirby Institute in Sydney as a full-time Biostatistics Research Fellow. Focus on statistical analysis of linked health data while collaborating on impactful health projects.
This position offers a 24-month fixed-term contract at The Kirby Institute, a leading health research center at UNSW Sydney. As a Biostatistician, you will conduct essential statistical analyses for projects aimed at HIV prevention and cervical disease. You will work both independently and as part of a team, making significant contributions to public health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design study protocols and analyses for health datasets

• Utilize advanced statistical methods with R and Python

• Generate reports, visualizations, and scientific publications

• Communicate results to researchers and policymakers

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams
Requirements:

• PhD in statistics, epidemiology, or related field

• Expertise in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R)

• Experience in analyzing linked health data

• Record of research publications and presentations

• Strong ability to build collaborative relationships
